Biography

I have been engaged in golf course construction and design for about 45 years from the 1970s to the present. In my early years, I gained experience as a civil engineer on golf course construction sites, and later engaged in course design, including development applications. In recent years, he has been engaged in course remodeling design and supervision. Recently, I have been paying particular attention to remodeling designs that lead to streamlining of golf course management and reduction of management costs. For example, in the remodeling of greens, he secured space for turning a riding mower, and encouraged the cutting of trees to improve ventilation and sunlight. For tee modification, we propose tees that can be trimmed from the front tee to the back tee in a single pass. The era of golf course elimination due to population decline is fast approaching. Japanese golf courses are under increasing pressure to fundamentally reform their management structures. Under these circumstances, as a member of JSGCA, I would like to propose course remodeling to reduce management costs in order to streamline golf course management, and also to propose golf courses as places where golf can be enjoyed by everyone, from junior to senior golfers, and where golf courses can be used and loved by everyone as places of exchange for communication among the generations. I am convinced that we can contribute to the golf industry by proposing these ideas.
