a fine thing to say (used as part of a sarcastic response to a rude remark)

board chairmanKentaro Sato

My name is Kentaro Sato, and I was appointed as the 7th Chairman of the Board of Directors at the 2024 Annual General Meeting. I am truly humbled and honored to be asked to assume this important role.
The number of supporting and cooperating members has also been increasing every year, reaching 222 members at the end of last year. We are truly grateful to our supporting and cooperating members for their participation in many workshops, lectures, and other events, and for their cooperation in the management of the association.

As you know, it is very difficult to build new golf courses in Japan today. However, many of the existing golf courses are nearly 50 years old and are deteriorating.
Furthermore, golf courses have been required to be remodeled over the past 50 years, as private homes and roads have become adjacent to each other, and tools have evolved. We believe that we, golf course designers, will be needed more and more in the future. To this end, we feel that it is necessary to make more people aware of golf course designers in Japan and to get more people interested in golf course design.
I believe it is important to continue to conduct golf course design training sessions to make people aware of golf courses and to educate golf course officials about the need for golf course modifications through lectures.

Furthermore, we will continue to communicate these matters on our website, which was renewed this year. Finally, I would like to ask all of our supporting and cooperating members to continue to participate in the activities of the association and to continue to cooperate with us. I will do my best in my role as Chairman of the Board of Directors, and I look forward to your continued support.
